Cut with a softly structured shoulder and gently shaped waist, the jacket follows the body before extending to the upper hip. Short sleeves give the silhouette a lighter, almost tunic-like character, while the coordinating self-fabric belt can be wrapped and tied at the waist to create additional definition or left loose for a more relaxed line. Design Features & Construction: Beautifully constructed from an exceptionally complex Chanel fantasy tweed, the jacket combines black and deep brown yarns with copper, caramel, rust and peach-toned fibres in an irregular dimensional weave. Contrasting yarn weights and subtly lustrous elements create remarkable depth across the surface, allowing the textile to shift in character according to the light.
The collarless neckline, centre front and patch pockets are framed with elaborate multicoloured braided trim, while intentionally fringed edges at the sleeves and hem emphasise the tactile character of the weave. A series of ornate gold-tone buttons decorated with Chanel's emblematic Camellia flower runs through the centre front, introducing a jewellery-like counterpoint to the richly textured textile.
Four patch pockets reinforce the traditional vocabulary of the Chanel jacket, with two positioned at the chest and two at the hip. The elongated coordinating belt wraps around the waist and terminates in substantial fringed tassels finished with decorative gold-tone fittings, allowing the silhouette to be cinched, wrapped or styled more loosely. The interior is fully lined in luxurious 100% silk.
