Construction:
The black lace tunic dress is crafted in semi-sheer floral stretch lace with a raw scalloped hem and unlined finish for versatile layering. Designed with a high mock neck and short capped sleeves, it offers a sensual yet structured base. Can also be styled as a lace blouse over trousers, as seen on the runway.
Silhouette:
Minimal and softly boxy, with a cropped, shift-style fit that skims the thigh. Elegant yet undone, it pairs effortlessly with tall leather boots, sheer tights, or lace lingerie. Can be worn loose or cinched at the hip with a belt, or styled with a choker for early-2000s drama and edge.
Closure: Pull-on style with center-back zip for the high mock neck
Condition: Excellent
Place of Origin: Milan / Italy
Provenance: From Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2001 collection, a season defined by gothic romanticism, sheer layering, and lingerie-inspired silhouettes. While this particular dress did not appear on the runway, the same design appeared, cut in a soft pink lace as worn on model Alek Wek. This piece carries the same language, silhouette and lace fabric as seen in other parts of the collection, capturing the dark sensuality and feminine tension that ran throughout the show.
