Detail: Iridescent chartreuse yellow snakeskin patterned short fitted jacket with a delicate collar and minimal shoulder padding, giving an feminine, modern silhouette. The matching straight-fitted ultra low-rise trousers feature sequin embroidered along the sides.

Provenance: A key look in Roberto Cavalli's SS.2001 collection, the designer incorporated his signature glamorous designs with ultra low-rise trousers, chiffon tops, and animal & graphic prints, creating the fantasy of the Cavalli woman: untamed, rich, barefoot on a yacht, or dancing barefoot in Ibiza.
The trousers from this ensemble were originally styled over a matching silk shirt bodysuit and featured across multiple looks in black and metallic grey with matching jacket & skirts. The use of snakeskin carried through to the menswear show from the same season, reinforcing its thematic significance within the collection.
